The Competition and Markets Authority said on April 13 that it is seeking views on "the anticipated acquisition by Paramount Skydance Corporation of Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc." The agency posted a new merger inquiry page and invited comments from any interested party through April 27, 2026.
The CMA said it has received the necessary information from the parties to commence pre-notification. It has not, however, formally launched its phase 1 investigation. The case page says it will be updated when the agency formally commences that review.
The CMA listed the case under the Communications market sector. It assigned four case officers, led by principal case officers Daniel Norcott and Marta Freire.
