U.S. District Judge Valerie Caproni signed the Consent Order and Stipulated Injunction on May 13, following a complaint filed by Guidepoint Global LLC alleging that Ware and others exfiltrated confidential information to launch a competitor, Inquire Network, Inc.

The order requires Ware to provide access to electronic devices, storage devices, and email accounts, including ajwareny@gmail.com and alanjware@yahoo.com, used from July 1, 2025, to the present.

An independent forensic examiner will perform the inspection to identify deleted files, transfer activity, and evidence of information exfiltration.

Ware is enjoined from using, copying, or disclosing Guidepoint’s trade secrets, including transcripts of moderated calls, lists of advisors, and documents containing current or prospective business opportunities.

The injunction also bars Ware from working for Inquire Network or a long list of other research firms, including AlphaSights, McKinsey, and Gerson Lehrman Group.

Ware denies any wrongdoing in the underlying complaint, but the parties stipulated to the order to preserve evidence pending a hearing on Guidepoint’s motion for preliminary injunction.

The forensic inspection must be completed within three business days, with a full document production and a three-hour deposition scheduled for no later than June 16, 2026.

Guidepoint’s counsel, Jason Burns and Shira Poliak of Greenberg Traurig, represented the company in the matter.
